Illustrated with numerous handcolored woodcuts, large and small rubricated initials. 11x7¾ and 9x6. [with:] French document. 9x6, vellum. 2 incunable leaves have 3 large rubricated initials and 5 charming illustrations of sea creatures and birds: the Sea Dragon, [Two Sirens], Eagle, [Peacock and Dodo] and [Pigeons]; 8 leaves from a different work have 90 small portraits of saints, popes and other religious figures. Document is in French, attributed to Charles VI, from 1389. Lot Amendments Condition: 2 leaves with water-stained corners and light soiling; 8 leaves closely trimmed, a couple tears, light browning and foxing; a few small chips to document margins; else good.
