Beschreibung:

132 coupé 2+2 Flares 1970 Design drawing by Giovanni Michelotti. Felt-pen and tempera on red cardboard. 3/4 front view. Frame sizes: 18.50 x 30.71 in. Presented for the first time during the 1971 Turin Motor Show and then at the 1972 Geneva Motor Show with slight changes in the design of the rear light unit, the Flares was a fully functional prototype dedicated to the study of aerodynamics and safety. The Flares is a classic 2+2, with a wedge line, typical of the '70s, built around the chassis of the Fiat 132, from which takes the chassis and the engine of 1800 cc of 105 HP. The rear is reduced by 33 cm, which meant moving the rear wheel, further reducing the space available in the compartment, partly compensated by lowering the rear seats and obtaining an additional platform. Noteworthy is the layout of the instrument panel, with the collection of all the main controls at hand, the perceived quality is excellent thanks to the materials used.
