Silk, 30 x 60 in., with 15 machine-stitched stars configured in 3 horizontal rows of 5, on blue silk canton. The fly is constructed of 15 machine-sewn silk stripes. Cotton hoist with rope whip-stitched along edge, plus a brass ring attached at top and brass clasp attached at bottom. Kentucky was admitted as the 15th state June 1, 1792, and Tennessee the 16th exactly four years later. This flag was probably made for Kentucky's Centennial Celebration, ca 1892. Condition: Some spotting on canton and a few light spots near fly end.
