16TH JANUARY 1809: SIR JOHN MOORE IN MEMORIAM A black basalt teapot, c.1809, the navette form moulded with a scene of Sir John's death, the reverse with a depiction of Fame and Britannia inscribing his name and dates on a tablet, reserved on a basketweave ground, the cover lacking, 28.3cm across.
