Beschreibung:

The New Hudson was 'Made in Birmingham' and was a very successful make in racing in the post- First War period. Post-WW2, as part of BSA, the name became synonymous with autocycles. In common with most makers of the period, New Hudson made a 'big single' sidecar machine, a conventional and very robust '600' sidevalve. Featuring Druid forks, the machine has the maker's characteristic through the tank gearchange. This lovely machine from September 1922 has had only two previous owners, the first, a Worcestershire postmaster, keeping the New Hudson for 45 years! NP1296 has the maker's sidecar in gold-lined black, with boot, the interior having been professionally re-upholstered. A lighting set and horn are fitted and the machine still carries its 1925 tax disc. 'Detail work is excellent……..a thoroughly satisfactory machine' said 'The Motor Cycle', and so it is. It comes with a quantity of relevant paperwork, the old log book, and a full MOT, ready for the summer. One of only two known survivors out of 108 made.
