Bollack, Netter et Cie. was a small manufacturer in a Northeast suburb of Paris. From 1924 they specialized in small displacement sports cars badged BNC. Like many cycle car manufacturers, they depended on non-proprietary engines. When they tried to move up market at the end of the 1920s, they found no buyers for either their large or small cars and went out of business in 1931. During their existence however, BNC was, with Amilcar, very successful in both racing and rallying, often winning the small displacement class. A BNC won the 1000cc class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1928. The car on offer dates from 1927, the first year BNC used what was to become its signature slanted radiator. Finished in red with black leather interior, the BNC has a side mount indentation on the right fender but no spare tire. The hood and lower front fender valances have louvers and the cycle fenders and boat tail also enhance the sporting look of this small bolide. This is an important artifact from the glory days of French sports car racing and would be welcome at any vintage race or rally in the world. Without reserve
