1932 New York Yankees team signed baseball, includes twenty-three player signatures with all nine Hall of Fame players, to include Babe Ruth, Earle Combs, Bill Dickey, Lou Gehrig, Lefty Gomez, Tony Lazzeri, Herb Pennock, Red Ruffing, and Joe Sewell, all on a Spalding no. 3RC"Babe Ruth" Home Run Special baseball, with a bold Babe Ruth signature on the sweet spot. The Yankees won the World Series in a four-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs that year and was made famous by Babe Ruth's legendary"called shot" homerun in game 3. A typed letter from the consignor indicates that the family owned Pancoast Farm in Guthriesville, Pennsylvania in the mid 1930's. His grandfather was raising animals for the fur industry and was approached by Herb Pennock who lived locally in Kennett Square about investing in silver foxes. His father cared for and looked after Mr. Pennock's foxes. One of the payments for this care was this team signed baseball. Provenance: descended in the original family to current owner. Condition:Light overall toning, very minor light scuffs, some sporadic fading, Ruth signature is bold and legible.
