Produite par Citroën de 1934 à 1957, ce modèle emblématique de la marque est une évolution majeure pour les constructeurs automobiles de l'époque. Comme son nom l'indique, la Traction est une voiture à roues avant motrices. A une époque où toutes les autos étaient équipées de pont arrière rigide, cette technologie était sans précédent. La Traction était également équipée de freins hydrauliques et d'une suspension indépendante sur les 4 roues. La tenue de route était exemplaire et aucune auto de cette époque n'égalait les performances routières de la Citroën. La Traction aurait pu symboliser l'une des périodes les plus sombres de notre histoire : l'occupation Allemande, la terrible Gestapo et la collaboration. Mais la Libération de Paris et la France Résistante firent de la Traction avant l'auto préférée des FFI et de la Résistance. Origine et état : La Traction a rejoint la collection bien avant l'idée de la création du musée. Nostalgique d'une époque révolue, Patrick Nerrant souhaitait retrouver la voiture de son enfance. L'état général de ce modèle 11 série BL de 1947 est proche de l'état original. Elle n'a jamais été démontée ni restaurée. Cette traction a été maintenue en condition et prudemment stockée dans un garage. Les tissus de la sellerie sont en excellent état d'origine, tout comme la carrosserie, la mécanique et le châssis. Au sein du musée, cette belle 11BL a été mise en situation " Libération de Paris " avec les marquages FFI sur les portes. Une incontournable automobile du second conflit mondial. Origin and condition: This Traction Avant joined the collection long before the idea of creating the museum. Nostalgic of a bygone era, Patrick Nerrant wanted to find the car from his childhood days. The general condition of this model 11 series BL from 1947 is close to original. It has never been restored. This car was carefully maintained and stored in a garage for many years. The upholstery's fabric is in excellent original condition, just like the body, as are the mechanicals and the chassis. Within the museum, this beautiful 11BL was put in "Liberation of Paris" setting, with FFI markings on the doors. This car is one of the symbol of the French Résistance during World War Two.
