Introduced for the export market in 1948, BSA’s Bantam was released for the home market the following year. It was to prove a huge success story for BSA, being adopted by fleet users such as the Police and the GPO, but finding also an enthusiastic market as economy ‘ride-to-work’ transport and as a leisure machine. This example was first registered in Essex in February 1951. It has been in a small collection for ten years but has not been ridden and will require the usual recommissioning. It is however smartly presented in traditional livery and appears to be to original specification in all major respects. This ideal starter machine for the young enthusiast comes with a Swansea V5 registration document.
