The machine comes with its original bill of sale issued by supplying dealership Harry & Frank Hebden Ltd of Burnley to first owner Mr J R King of Padiham, Lancashire. Mr King ordered the James with a windscreen, panniers, leg shields and pillion footrests, which together with number plates, road tax, licence holder and insurance brought the purchase price up to £135 3s 11d. Nothing is known about the machine's subsequent history or when it acquired the lurid orange finish. We understand that a Swansea V5C document has been applied for.
