1958 Ferrari 250 GT coupé Pinin Farina Titre de circulation belge Châssis n° 1201GT Moteur n° 1201GT - Restauration de très grande qualité - Certification Ferrari Classiche - Mécanique d'origine ("matching numbers") Comme a pu nous le confirmer Marcel Massini, c'est par l'intermédiaire de Chinetti Motors, importateur Ferrari basé à New York, que cet élégant coupé 250 GT Pinin Farina fut vendu à M. Weinmann résidant à New-York. La voiture était alors Rosso Bordeaux. Dans les années 1960, il passa entre les mains de Mme Tosteson, basée dans le Massachusetts. En 1987 la voiture change de main, quand elle est achetée par A. Macioce, de Boston. En 1990, elle revient en Italie quand le grand collectionneur G. Prevosti, en fait l'acquisition. Ce dernier, possédant des voitures très importantes, et attachant un grand soin à ce que ses bolides soient parfaits se lance dans une grande restauration. Pendant les trois ans qui ont suivi, la voiture a été complètement restaurée par les établissements Carrozzeria Bottini, en Italie, adoptant une superbe combinaison de couleur, teinte "Grigio Ferro" avec une sellerie en cuir rouge. En 2007, elle est vendue aux enchères, et son nouveau propriétaire confie la Ferrari au garage Italauto, en Hollande, pour une remise en état mécanique. Aujourd'hui, cette Ferrari 250 GT dotée de son moteur d'origine affiche un état superbe, qu'on peut qualifier de concours et peut se prévaloir d'une certification Ferrari Classiche et d'un passeport FIVA. Ce coupé fait partie de la glorieuse famille des 250 GT, celle qui a permis à Ferrari de passer de marque confidentielle à constructeur reconnu dans le monde entier. Elle s'appuyait sur le moteur conçu par Gioacchino Colombo, un puissant V12 aussi à l'aise sur route que sur circuit. Après les premières 250 Ellena et 250 GT Europa, le développement de cette famille s'est confirmé avec l'arrivée en 1958 du coupé 250 GT Pinin Farina, modèle qui a dépassé les chiffres de production habituels de Ferrari, avec plus de 350 exemplaires entre 1958 et 1960. A côté des versions compétition comme les emblématiques 250 GTO, ce coupé 250 GT était le fer de lance de la marque, et il en garde aujourd'hui l'incontestable aura. The owner of some very important cars and fastidious about presenting them in perfect condition, he decided to carry out a major restoration on this Ferrari. It was fully restored over a three-year period by Carrozzeria Bottini in Italy, during which time it was given a superb new livery in "Grigio Ferro" with red leather interior. The Ferrari was sold at auction in 2007 and the new owner took it to the Italauto Garage in Holland to be mechanically overhauled.
