Apparu à la fin de l'année 1962, il succède au cabriolet " La Croisette ", offrant 4 vraies places, et un capotage assurant une excellente clarté dans l'habitacle, notamment pour la partie arrière. A la malle arrière fuyante des premiers exemplaires succèderont des ailes arrière saillantes, à l'image de l'exemplaire ici présenté. Malgré un prix de vente élevé lié à sa fabrication artisanale, 32 exemplaires seront construits. Le conservatoire Citroën nous a confirmé que le châssis 4294001 avait été livré en apprêt chez Chapron le 12 novembre 1964. Par ailleurs, le dossier que nous a confié Noëlle Chapron comprend le courrier de commande de la voiture par l'Agence Citroën du Bd Lefebvre à Paris, le 4 novembre 1964. Le bon de commande fait mention d'une capote électrique, de l'habillage extérieur complet, d'une carrosserie de teinte " Amarento Roma " ainsi qu'un intérieur cuir noir façon Pullman. Sorti des ateliers Chapron le 11 février 1965, cet exemplaire a été immatriculé dès le lendemain. On retrouve ensuite sa trace entre les mains d'un percepteur de la région de Poitiers en 1970, puis, en 1990, le père des actuels propriétaires, agent Citroën, en fera l'acquisition. Ce dernier prendra grand soin de la voiture, ainsi qu'en témoignent les nombreuses factures d'entretien. La peinture a été refaite dans sa teinte d'origine voilà plus d'une décennie, et l'intérieur en cuir est, quant à lui, d'origine. Ce cabriolet est en état de fonctionnement, mais nécessitera une révision générale de principe et d'une remise en état de la boîte de vitesses. La capote a été refaite, et la carrosserie comporte toujours l'ensemble de ses accessoires, ainsi que les enjoliveurs de roue spécifiques. It appeared at the end of 1962, and succeeded the "La Croisette" cabriolet, offering 4 real seats, and a hood that allows light in the passenger compartment, especially in the rear part. After the receding trunk of the first models came the protruding rear wings, like the one presented here. Despite a high selling price linked to its artisanal manufacture, in all 32 units were built. Citroën confirmed that chassis 4294001 was delivered as a primer to Chapron on 12 November 1964. In addition, the file entrusted to us by Noëlle Chapron includes the order letter for the car from the Citroën concession at Bd Lefebvre in Paris, on 4 November 1964. The order sheet mentions an electric soft top, the complete exterior trim, an "Amarento Roma" bodywork and a Pullman style black leather interior. Leaving the Chapron workshops on 11 February1965, the car was registered the next day. We then find its trace in the hands of a tax collector from the Poitiers region in 1970, then, in 1990, the father of the current owners, a Citroën agent, acquired it. The latter was to take great care of the car, as evidenced by the many maintenance invoices. The paint was redone in its original colour more than a decade ago, and the leather interior is original. This convertible is in working order, but will require a general overhaul. The gearbox will need to be serviced. The soft top has been redone, and the bodywork still includes all its accessories, as well as the specific wheel covers.
