1965 Jaguar Type E 3.8L Série I coupé Carte grise française de collection N° de série : 889421 N° de moteur : RA 4097-9 - Ligne époustouflante - Importants travaux récents - La plus désirable des type E C'est exactement 13 ans après que William Lyons renouvelait son coup médiatique en présentant le 15 mars 1961 au Salon de Genève sa Jaguar type E, et non à Londres pour bien marquer la volonté d'une carrière internationale. Ce fut le départ d'un engouement qui dure encore, cette voiture symbole fut très vite élue plus belle voiture du monde par les journalistes spécialisés. Le dessin de la carrosserie est dû à Malcom Sawyer, auquel on devait également la Jaguar D, couverte de gloire avec ses victoires au Mans. La voiture de la vente a été restaurée dans les ateliers de GTSouvenirs chez Frédéric Thym, la carrosserie et la peinture, " Old english white " ont été refaites avec un démontage complet. Tous les chromes sont neufs ainsi que les joints de carrosserie. Le moteur et la culasse sont d'origine et ont reçus une grosse révision ainsi qu'un remplacement de tous les joints. Le radiateur, la pompe à eau sont neufs, tous les éléments du train avant ont été remplacés ainsi que ceux du complexe mais robuste train arrière. Les freins et leur tuyauterie sont neufs ainsi que la ligne d'échappement en inox, les pneus et également les tapis. Brakes and their piping are new and the stainless steel exhaust, the tyres and also the carpets.
