Beschreibung:

The second incarnation of the Cortina was designed by Roy Haynes and was launched on 18th October 1966. One of the best loved versions of that Cortina appeared in 1967, the 1600E, which was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in October of that year. The 1600E offered a blend of sporting style and luxury with a comprehensive specification. The mechanical specification included an 88bhp, 1600cc Cortina GT engine which achieved a fuel consumption of 25mpg. The 1600E interior came equally well equipped and included special rear bucket seats, reclining front seats, sports steering wheel, extra instruments and a wood trim. Comprehensively restored, this immaculate example of the now desirable 1600E was bought into its current state of rude health in 2014 by the previous owner. It included a full bare-metal rotisserie rebuild and now presents in completely original, albeit, freshly painted and trimmed, condition. Fully matching numbered, the engine and gearbox are thought to have also been rebuilt although no paperwork exists to support this. A large history file accompanies this classic Ford and, offered at no reserve, will generate enormous interest.
