The Alfa Romeo 105 series coupé, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Bertone, was considered to be one of his greatest designs. Not only as one of the best looking and handling classic saloon cars of the period, but the advanced specification with its five-speed gearbox, all round disc brakes, independent suspension and powerful twin-cam engine still has the capability to embarrass many of its modern counterparts. This GT 1300, offered in black with matching trim, is in fabulous condition throughout due to an extensive restoration and upgrade by the previous owner. The bespoke restoration took place in 2010 and was described as a 'full body project', the engine of this 1.3 litre Junior was fast-road tuned and the head ported which makes this potentially ideal for classic rallies where it would, undoubtedly, be very competitive. This was then complemented by a full bare-metal respray and comprehensive works to the body and chassis of the vehicle. The interior offers quilted leather door-cards, seats and trim all new at the time of restoration which was fewer than 10,000km ago. Currently registered in Hungary, given the spritely Juniors performance, there is a good chance that this vehicle could be returning to Europe. Described as 'clean as a whistle' by the owner, we are sure this Alfa will attract plenty of attention.
