Swedish title Chassis n°1426899 - In superb condition - Well maintained - Gorgeous and unusual design by Marcello Gandini For the International Expo of Montreal in 1967, Alfa Romeo was commissioned to showcase a car that would represent the "symbol of the greatest aspiration that man can realize regarding automobiles." The answer was the prototype designed by Marcello Gandini of Bertone, called the "Montreal" for the occasion. The example on offer was imported to Sweden from Switzerland by Mr Lennart Nordström in Malmö who registered it on 21 May 1975. It was later owned by Lars Carlsson in Norrköping for over 35 years until the car was acquired by the current owner in 2015. Artcurial´s Swedish specialist saw this car being for sale in Stockholm in the late 70s. At that time the car was in its current colour, therefore it is very likely to be the original one. It was looked after by Alfa Montreal specialist Veine in Linköping. The body has been totally restored as well as suspension and brakes. It is fitted with a grey leather interior which has seen very little use. The Montreal remains a true collector car, powerful with a strong image and distinctively sporty. This one is ready to be enjoyed by its future enthusiastic owner.
