Description The Lancia Fulvia does not need much introduction for the motorsport interested person. Also known as the Tipo 818 it was Lancia´s competition car of choice during the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. It won the World Rallye Championship in 1972 when it was replaced by the incredible Stratos. Introduced at the Geneva Car show in 1963, it remained in production an amazing 13 years with the end of production in 1976. During this time it was updated many times and it came in three basic versions from the start. The Berlina or Saloon, the Coupe and the Sport. The Coupe is the car we have in the auction today and the Sport was the Zagato version of this model. First registered on the 26th March 1975, this car was delivered to a Barbara Ashe of Amersham. The car passed through several owners before arriving in the hands of Peter Snelling of Wellingborough who undertook a bare-metal restoration of the car between 1995/1996. He would own the car for a total of 14 years before it changed hands again and in 2014, Stephen Allorby-Brigss purchased the car and started a renewed restoration which has been largely finished by the current vendor. The car is said to be showing circa 47,000 kilometres on the odometer and running well. There is an extensive list of recent work carried out in the history file and the car is ready to use or could be given some finishing touches to make it an excellent example. The car comes with a fresh MOT and UK V5C.
