1976 PEUGEOT 504 V6 CABRIOLET No reserve Carte grise française Châssis n° 1956699 - Sans réserve - Classique utilisable régulièrement - Rare version V6, la plus puissante - Voiture entretenue Peugeot est toujours resté fidèle aux coupés et cabriolets et cette tradition s'est poursuivie après la guerre. Après les 203, 403 et 404, la 504 devait avoir sa version découvrable: elle est présentée, avec le coupé, en 1969 et frappe d'emblée par l'élégance de sa ligne signée Pininfarina. On lui reproche une puissance un peu faible, jusqu'à l'arrivée du V6 PRV qui, en 1974, offre enfin à ce modèle des performances dignes de son statut : ses 136 ch lui permettent d'approcher 190 km/h. En version cabriolet le modèle V6 reste une version fort rare puisque moins de 1000 exemplaires seront produits. Lors de son achat par son actuel propriétaire, un collectionneur parisien, la voiture que nous proposons présentait un état de conservation très satisfaisant, la voiture ayant été entreposée dans un endroit sec et bien protégé. Elle va tout de même recevoir les soins de son nouveau propriétaire qui va procéder à une révision détaillée, comportant notamment un remplacement des amortisseurs avant, une révision des carburateurs (facture) et la pose de quatre pneus Michelin TRX neufs sur les jantes alu spécial TRX, repeintes. A l'extérieur, la carrosserie reçoit une nouvelle peinture après réfection des bas de caisse et, aujourd'hui, la voiture se présente dans une belle teinte gris fumé. L'intérieur en velours beige présente un bel état d'origine, et la capote originale conservée protège les occupants des intempéries. Version la plus puissante des cabriolets 504, sa modernité permet une utilisation régulière. Elle allie l'élégance de la ligne Pininfarina au sérieux de la fabrication Peugeot et au brio du V6. En version cabriolet, elle est particulièrement rare et attrayante. Comme notre photographe a pu nous le confirmer, rien de tel qu'être à son volant écoutant un air de jazz dans la douceur du petit matin parisien. As with the 203, 403 and 404, the 504 had its convertible version, presented alongside the coupé in 1969. The elegant Pininfarina styling was striking. It was considered to be a little underpowered, however, until the arrival of the V6 PRV in 1974 which finally gave this model the performance it deserved. The 136 bhp allowed the car to reach speeds of close to 190 km/h. The cabriolet version of the V6 model is very rare as less than 1,000 examples were produced. When the current owner, a Parisian collector, bought the car, it was in a well-conserved condition, having been stored in a dry and protected environment. The new owner then had a comprehensive service carried out that included changing the front shock absorbers, servicing the carburettors (invoice) and the fitting of a set of new Michelin TRX tyres on special, repainted TRX alloy wheels. The exterior bodywork was re-sprayed following repairs to the sills and is presented today in attractive smoked grey livery. The beige velour interior is in excellent original condition and the conserved hood provides passengers with excellent protection from the weather. The most powerful version of all 504 cabriolets, the modernity of this model makes regular use feasible. The car marries an elegant Pininfarina design with the excellence of Peugeot build and the brio of a V6 engine. It is especially rare and appealing in this cabriolet version.
