Offered for sale is a 1.598L 1981 Talbot Sunbeam Ti manual that has been with the current owner for the last 2 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 103 / 135.
Classic Car Auctions says: A Two owner from new Sunbeam Ti..... The standard Chrysler Sunbeam first appeared in 1977 with three engine options - 930cc, 1300cc and 1600cc. 1979 saw the launch of the Chrysler Sunbeam Ti; essentially an Avenger Tiger re-clothed, the new car was powered by the 1600cc Avenger Tiger engine, including twin Weber carburettor's, and developed a healthy 100bhp. The rally crowds took it to their hearts thanks to a plethora of off the shelf tuning parts and thus began Talbot's Sunbeam rallying success story. This is a superb example of a very rare Talbot Sunbeam Ti. We are informed that the first owner (a bank manager) owned the car for an incredible 32years. NYJ 633W is well known to marque specialist Skip Brown Cars through all of its life and there is documentation from them in October of 2014 that states ‘It is nice to see a Ti in such good condition and driving so well with its fully re-bushed Bilstein suspension and M16 front brake callipers'. This car is also well known to the Avenger and Sunbeam owners club, and this now represents a superb opportunity to own a car that really started the 80's hot hatch era.
