Beschreibung:

The Mercedes-Benz SL (Sport Leicht) has been in production since 1954 with perhaps the most influential model being the W113 Pagoda of 1963. This second generation evolved from the 230SL to 250SL, finally becoming the 280SL. The W113 was replaced by the W107 in 1971 and as the engines became larger, the bodywork and weight of the cars also increased - as often happens in mid-life! The SL improved through the years with technical innovation but still managed to keep its fundamental character and identity of an up-market quality sports car. Its reputation went from strength to strength and it was rare to see an episode of Dallas or Dynasty in the 1980's without an SL making a star appearance. The genius soft-top mechanism which folds down out of sight under a panel ahead of the boot lid gave the car a beautifully sleek, uncluttered appearance. This stunning example has only covered a mere 15,600 miles and presents in immaculate condition. The grey paintwork is unmarked and the interior in time-warp condition. These 107 Mercedes have a reputation for being over engineered and capable of travelling many miles trouble free. To be expected, this 280SL is described as driving with no known faults and comes with a V5 registration document, current MoT test certificate and a history file substantiating the low mileage.
