Depuis, la marque à l'Etoile n'a jamais cessé de produire les roadsters SL proposés en 2 places, 2+1 ou 2+2 selon l'évolution des modèles. Chaque génération a remporté un très large succès auprès de la clientèle internationale et il n'est pas rare d'en croiser sur nos routes aujourd'hui. La SL W107 a été rendue célèbre grâce aux feuilletons américains 'Dallas' et 'Pour l'amour du risque' et reflète parfaitement la génération des années 80. Il s'agit d'un modèle facile à rouler, à entretenir, d'une grande fiabilité. Celui-là, dans sa version 5L, un des plus performants, a été livré neuf au Maroc le 13 mai 1987. La voiture a ensuite vécu au Japon où elle fut entretenue dans le réseau du constructeur avant de revenir en Angleterre où elle est toujours immatriculée.
