Beschreibung:

A modern classic by Pininfarina, the simple-yet-elegant Spider bodywork premiered on the 1966 Duetto would prove enduringly popular, lasting into the 1990s. The first 2-litre '2000' version arrived in 1970, superseding the 1750 Spider Veloce. Wind tunnel testing resulted in the 2000 - and final 1750 models - sporting a drag-reducing Kamm tail, other improvements including bigger brakes and a limited-slip differential. Manufactured alongside the 1.6-litre Spider 1600 Junior, a more environmentally friendly, 128bhp version of the 2000 arrived in the mid 1970s, changes thereafter being mainly cosmetic and including a name change to '2.0' for the 1980s. For the 1990s the Spider was revised yet again, softly contoured body-coloured bumpers and trim replacing the previous model's sharp-edged, black-finished versions. This Alfa Romeo Spider started life as a 1.6-litre model (as stated on the V5 registration document) but was re-engined with the more powerful 2.0-litre unit in November 2003. The car benefits from the fitting of numerous new parts including battery, exhaust, suspension, gearbox, power steering, starter motor, clutch, all filters and other more minor components. Described as in good condition in all respects, with very good chassis, this tidy left-hand drive Alfa Spider is finished in Burgundy with cream leather interior, and comes with MoT to July 2004 and Swansea V5. Receipts for work carried out over the past 18 months are available together with a hardtop.
