French registration SAJJDALW4CM484110 - Low mileage - Regular maintenance by Jaguar - Beautiful combination of colours When Jaguar unveiled its new look in 1968, the XJ6 equipped with the traditional Jaguar inline six, enthusiasts began to dream of a more prestigious car as designed by Sir William Lyons over more sophisticated mechanicals. This would be the only V12-engined saloon in the world, when launched in 1972. From 1981, there was a 'revolution' under the hood of the Jaguar XJ12 and the Daimler Double Six. In response to criticisms, especially on the gas guzzling nature of the V12, Jaguar completely overhauled its flagship engine. New pistons and cylinder heads with the Fireball-May technology helped pump up power close to 300bhp. The new V12 were branded HE "High Efficiency". The results were convincing and Series III V12 continued in production till 1992, along with the more modern XJ40. The car for sale, supplied by Garage Wilson is of French origin and the odometer reads just 77,900 km. It is equipped with a power sunroof, cruise control, air conditioning, a trip computer, electric mirrors and fog lamps. The comfortable mats are optional Shetlands and the ashtrays are intact because the owner is a non-smoker, plus the maintenance log is fully updated. This car's alloy wheels were ordered directly from the factory as original equipment, and the car comes with all the manuals.
