1993 PEUGEOT 405 SUPERTOURISME - no reserve Voiture de compétition - Sans réserve - une des premières 405 de Supertourisme - Vice Championne d'Italie en 1993, nombreux résultats en France - Toujours préparée de manière optimale, bel état - Ex Fabrizio Giovanardi, William David et David Hallyday La Peugeot 405 fait son apparition en 1987. Il faudra attendre quelques années pour que le règlement de la catégorie " Supertourisme " établi par la FIA s'impose et que les constructeurs s'y investissent. C'est sur le championnat italien que le constructeur sochalien jette son dévolu en 1993 en y inscrivant par le biais de sa filiale locale la voiture que nous vous présentons. Le moteur de cette 405 2 litres à culasse 16 soupapes est réalisé par PIPO et développe la bagatelle de 300 ch. La caisse a été confiée à la célèbre officine Italtechnica qui la prépare au plus haut niveau, de telle sorte qu'en fin de saison, son pilote, Fabrizio Giovanardi, se classe second de ce championnat. De retour en France pour la saison suivante, elle sert tout d'abord de base pour préparer une autre 405, celle qui, aux mains de Laurent Aïello, va remporter le Championnat de France en 1994. La voiture passe alors entre les mains des pilotes Masson et Giradot qui, dès cette première saison, se classent à la 3ème place de la Coupe de France de Supertourisme. Puis elle enchaîne sans discontinuer les saisons suivantes du Championnat de France, jusqu'en 1998 où elle est pilotée par William David et David Hallyday. L'auto connaît ensuite une seconde vie dans le Championnat de France B de Supertourisme, qu'Arnaud Gomez remporte à son volant en 2001. Rachetée par son actuel propriétaire en 2002, cette 405 Supertourisme est aujourd'hui de couleur jaune, se présente dans un excellent état et fonctionne parfaitement bien. It would take some years for the finalization of the FIA "Super Touring" category and it takes a while for the manufacturers to invest into developing car for this category. It was into the Italian Superturismo championship that the French carmaker decided to get into through its Italian subsidiary in 1993, and this was one of the cars. The engine of this 405 is a 2-liter 16-valver put together by OBIS and the engine develops a whopping 300bhp. The preparation of the body was entrusted to the famous Italtechnica outfit which prepares racing machines of the highest level, so much so that by season's end, Fabrizio Giovanardi, with this car, ranked second in the championship. Back in France for the subsequent season, it was another 405, in the hands of Laurent Aiello, that went on to win the Championship of France in 1994. The car then passed into the hands of drivers Masson and Giradot, who drove the car to the third place in the Coupe de France de Supertourisme. This 405 then kept being campaigned in subsequent seasons of the French Championship, till 1998 when it is campaigned by William David and David Hallyday. The car had a second life in the French Championship Touring Car B group with Arnaud Gomez at the wheel, with a win in 2001. Acquired by its current owner in 2002, this 405 Super Touring is now painted yellow, and is on offer in excellent condition, works perfectly well.
