Pas moins de dix voitures étaient présentes qui furent appelées 550 Maranello, du nom de la petite ville où elles sont construites et de sa cylindrée approximative soit 550 décilitres. Le projet, quant à lui, portait le nom de F 133. La Ferrari 550 Maranello succédait à toute une déclinaison de berlinettes à moteur douze cylindres à plat, central arrière, qui, de la 512 BB à la 512 M, représentaient le haut de gamme sportif de la marque, si l'on excepte les séries limitées, depuis l'abandon de la 365 GT B/4 Daytona. La voiture de la vente a été vendue neuve par l'agent Ferrari Michel Weber Gmbh de Offenbach am Main (en Allemagne) et livrée le 4 avril 1997 à son premier propriétaire. Sa couleur gris Nürburgring, intérieur en cuir noir, lui offre une très belle sobriété et beaucoup d'élégance. Le deuxième est également allemand et elle est mise en vente par son quatrième propriétaire hollandais. Elle possède tous ses manuels de bord dans la pochette en cuir ainsi bien entendu que son carnet d'entretien dument tamponné. La grosse révision vient d'être réalisée en juin 2020 chez Mugello Engineering à Hilversum en Hollande. Elle totalise 59 700 km depuis sa sortie d'usine et a donc bénéficié d'un entretien très suivi. Il s'agit d'une GT très désirable, un des derniers V12 Ferrari avec boîte manuelle, doté d'une sonorité à la hauteur de sa ligne. Précisons qu'elle est certainement la Ferrari la moins onéreuse à l'entretien. It has all its manuals in the leather pouch, as well as its duly stamped service logbook. The major overhaul was just carried out in June 2020 at Mugello Engineering, in Hilversum, Holland. It has covered 59,700 km since it left the factory and has benefited from very careful service. This very desirable GT, one of the last Ferrari V12s with a manual transmission, has a sound that matches its looks. It is certainly the least expensive Ferrari to maintain.
