The Ferrari F355 was launched in May 1994 with two models available: the coupé Berlinetta and the Targa Top GTS. The Spider became available in 1995 whilst in 1997 the Formula 1-style paddle gear shift was introduced with the Ferrari 355 F1, the F designation being dropped before the 355 which added a further £6,000 to the dealer list price. Apart from the displacement increase from 3.4 to 3.5 litres, the major difference between the V8 engine in the 348 and F355 is the introduction of a five-valve cylinder head. This new head design allowed for better intake permeability and resulted in an engine that was considerably more powerful, The F355 was the last in the series of mid-engined Ferraris with the Flying Buttress rear window, a lineage going back to the 1965 Dino 206GT. Total production of 11,273 units made the F355 the most-produced Ferrari at the time. We are delighted to offer this lefthand drive Ferrari F1 Spider that was imported into the UK from the Principality of Monaco in 2015. The F1 Spider presents itself very well in Giallo Fly with a contrasting black leather interior and is a late 1999 model that benefits from the later engine and paddle shift gear change. Ferrari wing shields have the look whilst on a practical note, the Ferrari benefits from a power hood and tonneau cover. On inspection, this Ferrari will be found to be in very clean order throughout, the engine bay being of particular note.
