Recent £3,000 expenditure Desirable V6 model Unveiled at the March 1989 Geneva Motor Show, the new Mercedes-Benz R129 series SL range was beautifully engineered. Based around a two-door monocoque bodyshell, its sophisticated, all-round independent suspension (double-wishbone front/five-link rear) was augmented by a host of active and passive safety features including electronic stability control, ventilated ABS disc brakes, adaptive-damping shock absorbers, front airbags and an integral rollover bar that deployed in less than a third of a second if the car ever sensed an impending flip. Suitably cosseting, the convertible's impeccably built cabin consisted of a fully automated power hood and featured such advancements as memory seats, electric windows/mirrors and an adjustable steering column. Yet lurking beneath all the luxury and refinement was a performance orientated sports car. Originally registered on 30 th April 1999 this Mercedes-Benz benefits from having the desirable V6 3199cc engine. A well stamped service book accompanies T449 SLS and she has just had over £3,000 spent on her in December 2017, including new tyres. A new rear PVC window has recently been fitted to the soft top and this SL 320 is also supplied with a hard top. The car is described by the vendor as being a sound example and runs very well, taking into account the age and mileage of this Mercedes-Benz she presents in very good order. Supplied with a V5C registration document together with the original service books, two keys and a current MoT test certificate valid until 11 th December 2018.
