1f. advertisements, ownership inscription to pastedown, contemporary calf-backed boards, rubbed, John Marshall [c.1790] § [Gauden (John)] Eikon basilike [greek]. The pourtraicture of His Sacred Majestie, ?lacking frontispiece, ink inscription to endpaper 'Given by Edward Fitzgerald to William Aldis Wright and by him to M.E.F. Gerald ?Renich, 28 August 1911', contemporary sheep, rebacked, rubbed, new endpapers, 1648 § Spencer (Edmund) Travels in Circassia, Krim Tartary & c., vol. 1 only (of 2), hand-coloured frontispiece, plates, folding map, occasional light foxing, ownership inscription to title, half-title loose, original cloth, rebacked, 1837; and 20 others, similar, v.s. (23) *** The first is scarce, ESTC lists only 5 known copies. William Aldis Wright (1831-1914) was a writer and friend of Fitzgerald. He was named as the executor of Fitzgerald's estate.
