2000 Ferrari 456M GT Lot Number165 RegistrationV497 MAU Chassis NumberZFFSWP50JPN0117691 Engine Number55293 Odometer reading31,268 km Estimate£48,000 - £52,000 ResultSold - £38,080 Print details Send this to a friend 5 more images Low recorded mileage Recent service including cam belt Beautiful colour combination and condition throughout Introduced at Garage Francorchamps, Belgium in 1992, the 456 was Ferrari’s attempt to produce a motor car that was somewhat different from their usual offerings. The idea was to generate the space and comfort of a Gran Turismo (GT) whilst being the most powerful 2+2 in the world. The 456 GT incorporated features familiar to generations of Ferrari cognoscenti with the front-mounted, four-cam, V12, rear transaxle, tubular steel space frame chassis and all-independent suspension remaining. There was also an electronically controlled adaptive suspension and two gearbox options offered, a six-speed gearbox or a five-speed automatic. Power was supplied via the nearly 450 horsepower, V12 that produced a massive 398 ft-lb of torque at 4,500rpm. Variable-ratio power steering, three-way adjustable suspension dampening and self-levelling rear ride height. The interior was well appointed with features you expect from a luxury motor car. Aerodynamically efficient with a subtly beautiful curvaceous body, the 456 remained stable up to its maximum speed of around 190mph, a figure that made it the world's fastest production four-seater passenger car. We are delighted to offer this low mileage example of a Ferrari 456M GT, with the five-speed automatic that may only be described as in excellent condition throughout. The 456M, the ‘M’ representing Modificata or Modified, was introduced during 1998 and included improved aerodynamics, cooling and design changes to the interior that still featured Connolly hide and re-designed seating. Power from the 5470cc, V12 remained the same. This Ferrari was initially delivered to Japan via the Japanese dealership Cornes & Co. Ltd and was subsequently imported and registered in the UK in March 2018; please note that all duties have been paid. The coachwork is presented in the original factory colour of Grigio Ingrid, the paint and panel work both being unmarked. The rich warm tan leather interior is elegant, simple and uniquely Italian and may be described as virtually unmarked, it certainly exudes quality, a testament to the low mileage displayed upon the odometer. The 456 also includes a complete tool kit, manuals and service records. We are informed that this fine Ferrari is UK registered and will arrive at the sale having undergone a service, cam belt service and an MoT test to give peace of mind to a new owner. Offered in stunning condition, this Ferrari 456 GT stands out with its perfect balance of aggressiveness, elegance, lovely colour combination and only awaits a lucky new owner to enjoy it to the full. Interested parties should note that the passenger seat reclining mechanism does not operate.
