The XKR ‘Silverstone' is a celebration not only of Jaguar's return to racing through Formula One but of its long association with the world famous British circuit, the scene of over twenty Jaguar racing victories. In order to mark the occasion, Jaguar produced a limited run of 100 Jaguar XKR 'Silverstone' editions, of which 50 were Coupé variants and 50 Convertibles. All the cars were finished in Platinum Silver combined with black leather upholstery and red stitching. They were specified with CATS (computer activated technology suspension), 20-inch silver BBS Detroit split-rim wheels, an uprated chassis, Brembo brakes and a delightful 'Birds-Eye' maple dashboard. This, very special, Jaguar XKR ‘Silverstone' Coupé has travelled 39,500 miles and is supplied with a comprehensive Jaguar main dealer service history with 12 stamps showing in the service book. The vendor, who has owned the car for 8 years, advises us that it has been used mainly at weekends and that it drives very well and the automatic transmission is excellent. With a 370bhp, supercharged 4.0-litre V8, these are quick cars and the suspension and chassis tweaks unique to the 'Silverstone' edition endow the car with handling and road manners to match.
