The Bentley Arnage was launched in 1998, a large luxury saloon car that replaced the previous Bentley Turbo saloon. Built by Bentley Motors in Crewe, England from 1998 to 2009, the Arnage and its Rolls-Royce sibling named the Silver Seraph, were introduced in the Spring of 1998 and were the first entirely new designs for the two marques since 1980 when the Silver Spirit and Mulsanne models were introduced. The new Arnage was to be powered by a BMW V8 engine with Cosworth-engineered twin-turbo chargers and the Seraph was to employ a BMW V12 engine. The Red Label Arnage was launched in October 1999 and the engine reverted back to Bentley power using the traditional V8 engine with a displacement of 6750cc. Bentley made substantial modifications to the original BMW engine cars, and designated them as the ""Arnage Green Label"" for the 2000 model year. As part of the modification process, both Red and Green Label cars benefited from expanded leg room in the cabin, stiffer body shells, larger wheels and brakes. Despite the larger brakes, braking performance still worsened with the extra weight of the 6.75 engine. The braking performance of the Green Label from 70-0 was 172 feet while the later Arnage T's performance was 182 feet for the same speed. This righthand drive Red Label Arnage is finished in Amethyst dark metallic blue with cotswald magnolia hide, piped in french navy with french navy top roll and was first registered in March 2001. Originally supplied by JCT 600 in Leeds, they gave the car its first service at 549 miles. The car was then serviced by Bentley Essex in February 2003 at a mileage of 6,289. The next service was conducted by Broughtons in October 2003 at 12,363 miles. From late 2003 to the present day, this Arnage has been maintained by marque specialists and recently benefitted from new front brake discs, pads and rear shock absorbers. The current mileage stands at 46,000. Supplied with full UK V5 registration, current MoT road test certificate until June 2011 and current road fund licence. This well presented Bentley saloon offers incredible value for money when considering its original £150,000 plus price tag.
