Beschreibung:

The Ferrari 550 Maranello is a two-seater manufactured from 1996 and is powered by a front-engined V12. It shared its platform and 5474cc engine with the 456 but was positioned as the company's high-end model. It featured a luxurious and spacious interior and, unusually for a Ferrari, the boot could accommodate a set of golf clubs. The 550 has a tubular steel frame chassis with light aluminium bodywork. Power steering is variable assist and to be expected of a car with this performance, disc brakes are fitted all round. Acceleration is an impressive 4.2 seconds 0 to 60mph and top speed a reported 199mph. Ferrari introduced a convertible version of the 550 at the Paris Motor Show in 2000. This Barchetta Pininfarina was a true roadster in every sense of the word and with only 448 Barchettas manufactured worldwide, these highly desirable Ferraris are very sought after by collectors. Having covered a mere 35,291km (22,007 miles), this Ferrari is in outstanding condition and is a credit to its former keeper. Finished in Giallo Modena with dark grey interior, it is fitted with a Fiorano handling pack, carbon fibre gear knob and ultra comfortable racing seats. With the usual outstanding ergonomics of such a marque, the cockpit area of this striking Ferrari is a thing of real beauty. We are advised this lefthand drive Ferrari drives superbly with no known faults. Supplied with a V5C registration document, current MoT test certificate, original service books and toolkit; this rare Ferrari has a plaque confirming it to be number 168 out of the 448 manufactured and is offered at a very attractive reserve.
