4.0-liter twin-turbo DOHC 32-valve V-8 Multi-Point Fuel Injection 503bhp at 6,250rpm 7-speed dual-clutch automatic 4-Wheel Independent Suspension 4-Wheel Disc Brakes *Special Ordered new by Mr. Gerhard Schnuerer *Less than 5,000 miles from new *Offered with immense file and all accompanying items *Stunning Solarbeam livery THE MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GT S AMG, which is now the official performance division of Mercedes-Benz, has a long history of producing high-performance derivatives of Mercedes' standard production vehicles, and these improved versions enjoy an enthusiastic following worldwide, with prominent figures of the motor sports, entertainment, sport, and business communities being counted among aficionados. On 1st January 2005 the then parent company DaimlerChrysler acquired 100% of AMG's shares, leading to the creation of what is now one of the world's most celebrated performance marques: Mercedes-AMG. Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October 2014, the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé was only the second model, after the SLS, designed entirely in-house by AMG. In appearance the GT looks similar to the SLS, both cars being the creation of lead designer Mark Fetherstone, but has conventional doors rather than its predecessor's gullwing type, thereby lowering the center of gravity. Boasting a spaceframe chassis/body of mainly aluminum construction, the GT in its 'entry level' form is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 469bhp, while the AMG Speedshift seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is similarly state-of-the-art. The engine is set well back in the frame and the transmission is housed in a rear transaxle, helping to keep the weight distribution at what Mercedes calls an optimum 47/53 percent front-rear split. Developed with input from Mercedes' Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, the Mercedes-AMG GT was chosen to serve as the F1 Safety Car for the 2015 season. Deliveries commenced in March 2015. Introduced at the same time as the GT was the higher performance GT S. The S makes 503bhp, 47 more than the standard GT and hits 60mph two-tenths of a second faster, and has a higher top speed of 193mph. Speed and power aren't the only upgrades, the S is equipped with a host of chassis upgrades including an electronically controlled limited slip diff and three-stage adaptive dampers, and larger brakes surrounded by larger and stickier tires. THE MOTORCAR OFFERED This exceptional AMG GT S Coupe was special ordered new by Mr. Schnuerer. The car was specified in the stunning shade of Solarbeam Yellow, a color that must be seen in person to truly appreciate its depth. Inside, Mr. Schnuerer specified black leather and carbon throughout. Mr. Schnuerer opted for factory delivery, where he toured the factory and got to drive his new supercar on the German autobahn before it was sent home to California. As with all of the cars in the Schnuerer collection, the AMG GT S has been meticulously maintained. All of the services have been carried out by an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership. The car is accompanied by an immense history file which documents the factory deliver program, all service invoices, the original window sticker, and manuals. Today, having covered only 5,000 miles from new and always receiving the best of care from Mercedes-Benz, this intoxicating Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S coupe presents in exceptional, nearly showroom-fresh condition inside and out.
