3.8-Liter DOHC Flat 6-Cylinder Engine Electronic Direct Fuel Injection 385bhp at 7,400rpm 6-Speed Manual Transaxle 4-Wheel Independent Suspension 4-Wheel Carbon Ceramic Disc Brakes *Desirable, ultra performance-oriented Cayman GT4 *More than $30,000 in factory options *Just about 6,000 miles and one owner from new *Serviced and maintained by authorized Porsche agencies THE PORSCHE CAYMAN GT4 Porsche reentered the mid-engine market in the mid-1990s with its Boxster oadster, but it was not until the Frankfurt Motor Show in the fall of 2005 that Porsche debuted a proper, track-ready hardtop version. When the Cayman found its way into the hands of skilled drivers, it proved well worth the wait. Walter Röhl lapped Germany's Nürburgring in 8 minutes, 11 seconds – four seconds faster than his time in a contemporary 911 Carrera. In March of 2015, the high-performance track-oriented Cayman GT4 was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. The GT4 was the first Cayman model to carry the "GT" designation. The GT4 was only available with a 6-speed manual transmission and weighed just 2,954 lbs. It has a vented front bumper to improve cooling for the additional radiator, with a lower lip spoiler as well as a fixed rear wing for providing downforce. Compared to the standard Cayman, it features a 30mm lower ride height, upgraded Carbon Ceramic brakes from the 991 GT3, a limited-slip differential combined with Porsche Torque Vectoring, and Porsche Active Suspension Management with dampers derived from the 991 GT3. These upgrades also made it visually notable from other Cayman models. A number of reinforcements were also made throughout the chassis to keep it stiff and well balanced, including a roll-cage integrated into its interior. This was no mere weekend warrior special, produced for one year only, and in limited numbers, the GT4 is sensationally capable. THE MOTORCAR OFFERED This Cayman GT4 was completed at Porsche's Osnabruek plant in February of 2016 and was destined for the United States. It was purchased in July of 2016 by the current and original owner. It is finished in white over black leather with Racing Yellow stitching. This GT4 has more than $30,000 in factory options which include Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, Porsche Communication Management, Full Bucket seats, Carbon Fiber Interior Package, Sports Chrono Package that includes a Track Precision app. Other equipment highlights include aluminum pedals and footrest, satin black wheels and Racing Yellow seat belts. This Cayman GT4 has been regularly serviced and maintained by reputable and authorized Porsche agencies throughout its life. With a couple of clicks over 6,000 miles this Cayman GT4 is entirely ready for its next owner to enjoy its visceral driving experience on an off the track.
