23 pp. Illustrations. 28x22 cm (11x8½"), newsprint in self-wrappers. Issued in two versions, one distributed by Diggers with "Free" on cover as in this, the more scarce of the issues; the other was distributed as The Realist, issue #81. This issue features Brautigan's poem, 'All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace,' as well as anonymous contributions from: Neal Cassady, Gary Snyder, William S. Burroughs, Emmett Grogan, etc. The Digger Papers was a free collective publication of the Diggers, one of the 1960's improvisational theatre groups in san Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district.
