THE FIRST 19TH CENTURY, THE SECOND 18TH CENTURY, POSSIBLY DUTCH
A BALKAN SILVER-MOUNTED DAGGER & A STEEL-HILTED SMALL-SWORD THE FIRST 19TH CENTURY, THE SECOND 18TH CENTURY, POSSIBLY DUTCH The first with spear-point blade with punched scrollwork on each side, brass guard, grip encased in embossed silver decorated with flowering foliage against a punched ground, in original textile-covered scabbard with silver locket and chape decorated en suite; the second with slender blade of diamond section signed 'EN TOLEDO' on each side in the short fuller, the hilt with symmetrical shell-guards pierced with scrollwork and martial trophies, quillon-block and pommel pierced en suite, wire-bound grip; together with A SWORD-STICK, 19th century, with blade of diamond section, tapering grip of octagonal section formed of discs of ivory and ebony (scabbard lacking) The first 6½in. (16.5cm.) blade, the second with 33½in. (85cm.) blade (3)
