A BÖTTGER HAUSMALEREI FLARED TEABOWL AND SAUCER THE PORCELAIN CIRCA 1725, THE DECORATION ALMOST CONTEMPORARY Decorated at Bayreuth in the Metzsch workshop, each side of the teabowl with a Schwarzlot landscape vignette within iron-red and gilt line compressed oval cartouches against sepia dash escutcheons edged with gilt strapwork, brightly coloured scrolls and foliage and pendant purple swags, the interior with a gilt border of foliage scrolls and husks, the saucer with a similar circular Schwarzlot scene and escutcheon within a similar border, gilt band rims (saucer with small chip to underside of rim and small areas of wear to gilding)
