A BÖTTGER PORCELAIN SILVER-GILT MOUNTED GOLDCHINESEN RIBBED CYLINDRICAL TANKARD with loop handle and Augsburg silver-gilt cover, decorated at Augusburg in the Seuter workshop with chased chinoiserie figures seated at tables brewing tea, drawing a figure in a cart with dogs and birds, a figure with a bird lure and a figure with two children on a terrace with flowering plants, birds and insects in flight above, supported on scrollwork and diaper-pattern between ribbed alternate gilt and white bands, the hinger silver-gilt cover engraved with chinoiserie figures within Laub-und-Bandelwerk , the border with gadroons (restored chip to footrim, some rubbing to gilding), the porcelain circa 1720, the decoration slightly later, the mounts attribued to Elias Adam 17.5cm. high
