A Böttger silver-gilt-mounted Goldchinesen teapot and domed cover THE PORCELAIN CIRCA 1725, THE DECORATION ALMOST CONTEMPORARY, LUSTRE , MARK TO BASE Of squat bombé form, the spout, finial and handle mounted with a contemporary gilt-metal chain, gilt at Augsburg in the Seuter workshop, the body with Orientals at various pursuits by tables, holding fans, parasols, vessels, a parrot and a peacock, below canopies suspended from trees and flanked at the sides by small vignettes of single Orientals, the terminals of the handle, spout and the rim with scalloped gilt band borders edged with scrolls, the domed cover with three small vignettes with Orientals about a gilt knop finial (teapot with slight wear to gilding, possibly with refreshed areas, cover with minute rim chip, wear to gilding and slight re-touching to gilding of finial), the mount on the spout with a hinged shell cover
