A BÖTTGER SILVER-GILT MOUNTED HAUSMALEREI COFFEE-POT AND COVER of pear shape, decorated at Augsburg in the workshop of Abraham Seuter after Watteau , painted in Schwarzlot , the hands and faces in flesh tints, with scenes from the Commedia dell'Arte , one side with Harlequin and Columbine beside Pierrot, the other with Mezzetin playing the guitar among other figures within shaped cartouches outlined in silver and with silver Laub-und-Bandelwerk , the scroll handle, spout, rims and finial enriched with gilding (the cover restored, scratching to spout and handle, the footrim slightly ground), the mounts with EA marks for Elias Adam , the porcelain circa 1725, the decoration a few years later 21cm. high
