A BOHEMIAN FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOL with sighted barrel retaining faint traces of gold-damascened decoration on the sighting flat, flat bevelled lock engraved with scrollwork and two mouted horsemen in combat in a landscape (some wear), moulded figured walnut full stock (butt repaired) carved in relief with symmetrical strapwork, gilt-brass mounts (gilding worn) decorated in low relief in the Carslbad fashion, the side-plate with a boar-hunt in a wooden landscape, eagle-head pommel (tongue missing), horn fore-end cap, and associated brass-tipped ramrod (iron parts with some pitting), probably by Johann Paul Breitenfelder of Carlsbad, second quarter of the 18th Century 15 3/8in.
