A BRONZE RITUAL TRIPOD FOOD VESSEL, LIDING LATE SHANG DYNASTY, 12TH-11TH CENTURY BC The vessel is raised on three supports leading up into each deep lobe of the body, which is cast in relief with three taotie masks below the flared rim surmounted by a pair of bail handles. The bronze has a mottled milky-green patina. 5 15/16 in. (15 cm.) high
