With rebrowned swamped twist octagonal barrels (some surface pitting) each stamped 'Fine Twisted Stubbs' on the underside of the breech and now inscribed 'Jno & Geo.e Jones London' on the top flat, each with silver fore-sight, single gold line and a band of engraved chevron ornament at the rear of each breech, gold-lined touch-holes, engraved tangs each incorporating the back-sight, signed border engraved locks each with roller, rainproof pan and 'French' cock (one replaced), figured half-stocks, chequered butts, engraved iron mounts including rounded pommels, and trigger-guards each with pineapple finial, shield-shaped silver escutcheons each engraved with owner's initials 'AP' (one bruised), silver barrel-bolt escutcheons, horn fore-end caps (one later), and horn-tipped ramrods, one with worm (one forward pipe and rib replaced): in earlier relined and refitted oak case with some accessories including brass-mounted copper powder-flask, the exterior of the lid with brass carrying handle of Chippendale form, Birmingham proof marks 20 cm. barrels
