A CASKET CONTAINING A GROUP OF MAINLY GRAECO-ROMAN JEWELLERY, including a gold pendant in the form of a miniature fluted vessel surmounted by a hollow cylindrical attachment, circa 4th Century B.C., 1.4cm. long; a single gold earring, the hoop terminating in the form of a lynx head with granulated collar, above a circular box setting with a garnet, 1st Century B.C., 1¼in. (3.2cm.) long; five sheet gold leaves from a diadem; a red jasper intaglio showing Jupiter seated on a stool holding a sceptre in his raised right hand, an eagle at his feet, 1st-2nd Century A.D., 1.9cm. long; another with Venus and Cupid; another showing a bearded philospher, mounted as a ring; three bronze rings, one with green inlay in bezel; a fragmentary silver ring bezel with intaglio of winged Nike holding a wreath; a group of bronze fragmentary jewellery; an Assyrian or Neo-Babylonian chalcedony stamp seal, with a running figure flanked by two winged animals; three Egyptian glazed composition amulets, including a wedjat -eye; and six pottery pullae with impressions of coins
