A CENTRAL EUROPEAN BRONZE SPIRAL ARMLET, THREE FIBULAE, AND A GROUP OF MAINLY BRONZE WEAPONS HALLSTATT PERIOD, CIRCA 1200-600 B.C. The armlet comprising a continuous long spiral of fourteen turns, with central rib, 9¾ in. (24.7 cm.) long; a large leech-shaped fibula decorated with ribs and incised bands of cross-hatching and chevron pattern, 4¼ in. (10.9 cm.) long; another similar, smaller; a fibula with leaf-shaped bow, linear and dotted decoration, 3 1/8 in. (8 cm.) long max.; a group of axe-heads including a palstave with joined flanges, a flat axe with crescentic blade, two socketed axes of tapered square section with side-loop, a small socketed axe with ribs on each face, and an undulating knife blade, 7 7/8 in. (20 cm.) long max.; a large bronze penannular armlet with linear and cross-hatched terminals, 4¼ in. (10.7 cm.) diam.; a penannular crescentic ring of tapered square section with longitudinal grooves and notched decoration, 2¾ in. (7 cm.) diam.; a coiled ring of two turns, the broad band with longitudinal ribs and notched decoration; a pierced pin with knobbed terminal, 6 in.
