♡ A CHINESE ARCHAISTIC BRONZE 'DING' CENSER WITH JADE-EMBELLISHED HARDWOOD LID QING DYNASTY (1644-1912), 18TH CENTURY OR EARLIER Raised on three cabriole legs with masks, a loop handle emerging from either side, and taotie masks to the front and rear of the vessel, the whole covered in a beautiful verdigris patina. Together with a fitted hardwood stand, and a domed hardwood lid embellished with a jade hat finial carved as a lingzhi mushroom group (probably Ming Dynasty). 33.5cm high, 28cm diameter Estimate $3,000-5,000 Condition: The ding with one broken and reattached leg (old repair). Old repairs to the hardwood stand. One section of the rim of the hardwood lid with a large chip (worn down). Encrusted oxidised verdigris patina to the bronze.
