A Chinese Fahua 'boys and peach' water pot, late Ming dynasty, modelled as three boys supporting a water pot in the form of a large peach on their backs, 13cm high Provenance: Christie's South Kensington, Oriental Works of Art, 2nd April 1998, lot 311 清晚期 琺華三子捧壽水盂 來源:倫敦南肯辛頓佳士得,1998年4月2日,拍品編號311。 Note: The peach is a symbol of longevity, and is also a homophone with 'wash' (táo). The group of boys holding up the large peach are symbolic of fertility, and convey a wish for many children.
