A Chinese ivory cylindrical box and cover, 19th century
A Chinese ivory cylindrical box and cover, 19th century the sides carved with three figures playing weiqi and the Eight Immortals with their respective attributes standing amidst pine trees in a fenced garden before a shrine entrance, below figures in a garden and playing weiqi around the cover, the top with a wreathing dragon pursuing the flaming pearl amidst cloud scrolls, all reserved on a wan ground -- 5 3/16in. (13.2cm.) high.
