A Chinese sancai-glazed tray and bowls, Tang dynasty (618-907) the dish with shallow rounded sides rising to the everted rim, supported on a short foot, decorated at the rim and cavetto with green, amber and cream spot glaze, with a central bowl and six smaller wine cups with rounded sides rising to the lipped rim, the interior covered with a similar sancai glaze running over the rim to the exterior sides -- dish 10¾in. (27.2cm.) diam., the larger bowl 4 1/8in. (10.5cm.) diam. (8)
