A collection of Ismay Imrie and Co White Star Line correspondence with Harding, Richardson, Rhodes & Co Ltd, two sepia photographs of the Tower Works factory Leeds and a signed card Captain Francis Inch SS Volturno, the typed letters from the White Star Line First Class Passenger Department to W Sykes Esq, relating to booking passage from England to Boston aboard the Cymric or Arabic due to the Cedric and Baltic being fully booked. dated between September 21st to September 30th 1905., the photographs showing the exterior of Harding, Richardson, Rhodes & Co Tower Works dated 23rd April 1898m taken by Hoskins photpgraphers Leeds. *Note - in 1869 Thomas Imay and his friend William Imrie brought together their two companies to form Ismay, Imrie & Co which became a subsidiary of Ismay's Oceanic Steamship Company. in 1871 Ismay acquired the White Star Line and began running the North Atlantic passenger service. Messrs Harding, Richardson Rhodes & Co established the Tower Works, Leeds in 1864 producing cast steel pins and combs for use in the textile industry.
